Tokyo Marui Festival 2014

Tokyo Marui, a legendary Japanese AIRSOFT equipment manufacturer is still in good shape. During the Tokyo Marui Festival 2014 the company has presented some new cool stuff: pistol, shotgun and assault rifles in a surprising form. Finally, after this event every single player should be able to find something that suits him.

According to the plan, however, the most important part of the presentation was launch of the Smith&Wesson M&P9’s replica. This is a gas blowback replica with rail under the barrel (ex. in order to fit the flashlight) is basing on the famous American pistol used by Australian policemen and the US’s DEA. The quality of manufacturing is astonishing, same as shooting. If you want to see the M&P in action be sure to watch the video below.

On the other hand, if you prefer a bigger caliber you should consider M870 Breacher. This powerful shotgun is again a gas-powered replica. Firstly announced last May, now it Is finally revealed. Was it worth waiting? Well, if you love CQB then the answer is obvious and you’re probably refreshing AIRSOFT stores websites’ right now, waiting for it to be in stock. If you want to see more watch the video below. Don’t forget to turn the subtitles in (unless you speak fluent Japanese ;))!

What is interesting, the TM has also presented a new series of the assault guns in the scale… 1:6. That means that replicas are 6 times smaller than their real equivalents. Some malicious reviewers claim they’re just fitted to the far east size, but in fact they are perfect for the CQB or just for collectors purposes.

Unfortunately we didn’t meet the date of launch of the new gas blowback M4A1 that may shock the market. It seems that we have to be patient. Just let’s hope the new replica will turn out to be worth waiting.
